COOL DECO LAWSON COPPER & WOOD CLOCK
(Item: CLOCK DECO LAWSON)
What a Great Looking 1930s Deco "LAWSON
TIME INC." clock. Mark on bottom indicates it's a "Model No. 308"
and has a patent number of 1,990,645, which dates it about 1935.
The top part of the clock has a matte copper finish with some color
loss and some marks. The base is wood and looks like mahogany. There are two tiny holes on each side of the wood base where, I suppose, it was attached to something. Clock
operates just fine and the dials rotate as they should. The "minute" numbers have wear and some of the numbers have been inked in a
bit. The "8" number showing in the pictures is one of the more clear numbers. The seconds are on a small dial in the right corner and are
hard to see and did not photograph well, but they do also function.
Overall length is 14 1/2 inches and the height is 4 inches. Found
reference to several other models made by Lawson which trade for tidy
sums, but could find no reference to this model; so, perhaps it's a
hard to find one?
