This beautiful basket quilt
is a combination of early....1860s~1880s....hand pieced quilt squares,
which were assembled in 1940, and quilted at that time. This info comes
directly from the estate, of which it has always been a part. Lovely
old shades of browns & reds in these fabrics, and they are still quite
sturdy. They have been assembled with, what I believe is, unbleached
muslin, and has thin cotton batting. The stitches are 7 per inch
and very even. If you want a beautiful quilt that you can use, this
is the one! It has never been laundered and the quilting lines are
still visible. There are no rips or tears and has two squares with
where the print pattern has rubbed off. It is quite large at 106"
x 84". Able to call this quilt pristine, except for the above mentioned
stains.
Will pack properly and ship
promptly.
