FINE OLD ROSE OF SHARON APPLIQUE QUILT
(Item: QUILT ROSE OF SHARON)Rose of Sharon is the pattern, also, some call it Whig Rose.
Family says: made in Boulder Colorado just after World War I.
A big quilt at 92 x 78 inches.
Hand quilted and hand appliqued.
A wonderful border!
Some of the dark Rose center buds have worn through (see pic),
otherwise, quilt is in VERY GOOD condition, with no dirt, holes or repairs.
Winning bidder will be pleased with this excellent applique quilt.
This pattern, by the way,was a traditional pattern for the Brides' chest or Dowry chest, as early as the 1850's.
